Actually, I just bought 2007 Ford Freestyle, and I would recommend that you seriously try to find one. The 06 and 07 Freestyle is the same vehicle as the Taurus X, but has the more efficient 3.0L V6 and CVT instead of the 3.5L and 6 speed auto available now in the Taurus X. The Journey is a bad risk–Chrysler’s quality is not impressive and the Journey is in its first year, so all the bugs have yet to be found and worked out. I would avoid the 05 Freestyle for the same reason.

Dodge Journey=Newer, better looking, more practical.

We were looking into both of those and our vehicle of choice (when we can afford it) is the Taurus X. The main selling point is the Taurus X is roomier in the back…the third row actually has enough leg room for adults and there’s still storage space behind it. The Journey is a little more stylish but the third row is useless for adults and when the seat is up, you have practically no room behind it.
