Which car is best for me?
Hi let me tell you about myself
Im into Performance modifications. (not fast and furious stickers ricer crap.)
I would drive in winter, and summer
WONT BUY FOREIGN
so heres my options/ideas
Ford Taurus SHO ( yeah its a Yamaha motor) MTX only
older Ford Crown victoria 1986-94
f150 or bronco any year 86-95
Chevrolet Caprice 86-98
what are the best out of these for modification. Might i add im not racing or anything just looking for better sound ( out of the V8’s) and less rasp from the SHO

So you are into mods, but don’t want to race.. You just want the sound?
If you want a car that will impress people and sound good and run good, look at a Chevy Citation X-11. You’d be shocked at the people who would cry when you’d beat them with a stock Citation in a race.
Well, run good for an American car. If you get any of the cars you listed above, I hope you have deep pockets to constantly fix them.
If you think foreign cars are crap you should strap on a Bronco. You’ve not yet experienced crap. It was one of the worst vehicles ever made.
Go foreign. All those suck…BAD! The only one kinda ok is the bronco and they are not even good. Nothing will make a Caprice or Crown vic any better. Get a Mustang or something if you want to make it loud with good sound. I’m a honda girl myself. Honestly none of those cars will be good for the mods you want.
If you can lay your hands on a used Crown Vic P71 Interceptor, you’ve got a vehicle you can mod until the cows come home, beat as hard as you want, and just buy another when the local authorities have another auction.
What’s MOST important to remember is that even the V8 vehicles that were most beloved, most revered, and whose performance was most impressive just a few years ago are now being blown-away by both the hp and torque output of todays 6’s, both in terms of 0-60 and especially with economy. Ford’s 363 HP V6 EcoBoost is a veritable fuel-sipper while providing 365 HP and a torque curve that’s SO flat and wide it’s virtually made turbo-lag extinct on its own.
My point isn’t to drive you right into a newer vehicle, it’s just to keep in mind what you’re up against. Also, with Cash-for-Clunkers taking so many of vehicles like the ones you’ve listed off the roads permanently, prices for the remaining ones in existence are going through the roof relative to their value.
That’s another reason I favor the Police Interceptor. That Panther platform has been around forever, Ford hasn’t had to reinvest a nickel into it, parts are never going to be a problem, and as long as there’s police driving them, there’s going to be a steady supply.
Enjoy!
