Where on a 2000 Ford Taurus would you find the CD player?
I know the question sounds stupid but it is really legitimate…..I just bought a 2000 Ford Taurus and I assumed it only had a cassette deck when I purchased it. Some how I skipped over seeing the "CD" button next to the tape button. Although there is no CD deck in the actual radio area I hear that it should be equipped with a disk changer. Where in my car can I find this? Or is the button there just in case I would like to install a disk changer? I have no idea about cars so anything would help
um PraiseBob…….if I had an owner’s manual I would have used it……the car is used so they must kept the manual or lost it
PEOPLE I TAKE BACK WHAT I SAID, ANY INFORMATION IS NOT HELPFUL……ONLY HELPFUL INFORMATION WILL BE HELPFUL GET IT (meaning no smart ass comments)

According to this review of the 2000 Ford Taurus, http://www.canadiandriver.com/testdrives/00taurus.htm:
"If you order an optional CD changer, it goes in the storage bin between the seats, however it doesn’t leave much storage space."
In your glove box should be a little book labeled something like "Owner’s manual". It should tell you everything you need to know about operating the various systems that your vehicle is equipped with.
You might check in the middle console.
