where is the cd changer located in a 1997 Ford Taurus?
I am needing to know where the harness and such would be located on a 1997 Ford Taurus Factory CD Changer

It’s typically located in the trunk or under the dash.
Not to sound rude, but have you explored the dashboard area?
I build Honda Accords and Acura TL’s, and having done some time in the instrument-panel area of the plant, I’ve noticed that on average there’s an AMAZING amount of space between your dashboard front and the firewall/car frame. I used to wonder how you could fit a 6-disc CD changer in there; now I see you could probably set up an AV system as well, and have room to spare.
Chances are good that it’s set in a long-box shape/formation behind the head unit. I wouldn’t advise randomly trying to take apart your dashboard; a Chilton’s manual or someone with experience in car audio install would be the way to go, if you want to get at the hardware.
Good luck!
Mine’s in the trunk
My daughters "96" is in the trunk.
It’s where you installed it. I don’t think they came out with a CD Changer in Fords.
