In some states/counties it’s illegal to sell used or "rebuilt" catalytic converters. However you can get "universal" cats that are usually much cheaper than the OEM units. By much cheaper, I mean a couple hundred bucks compared to a thousand bucks for more for the OEM parts.
you can get cheap one at aftermarket parts stores i would check a ford store though sometimes the manufacturers converters are cheaper.
