What’s better the 2010 Ford Taurus or the 2010 Toyota Avalon?

   By far the taurus. Better performance, better interior and exterior.

   Since this is asked in Ford I think most people will say the Taurus. I like the Taurus better personally.

   Over a Toyota any day, the taurus is way better, I had my share of Toyota’s and never again.

   I will try to be unbiased here:

   Ford Taurus is available in AWD, has the best crash test ratings available, is available with nearly 400hp, has GP style paddle shifters, back up camera, Microsoft SYNC, on board hard drive, Sirius travel link, and awesome styling

   Toyota Avalon is front wheel drive and when the floor mat sticks the gas pedal to the floor – your family dies!

   US Automakers are really making an effort to produce better products. The only issue I have with the Taurus is the weight (4,400 lbs) vs 3,400 lbs for the Avalon. Even though the Taurus is wider than the Avalon by 4 inches, the Avalon has more leg room, shoulder room and hip room. The Taurus features more head room. I am over six feet tall and my head has never hit the ceiling of my Avalon even when I wear a hat. The Ford TV spot that states that Ford is equal in quality to Toyota is misleading. It was a survey of people that had had their cars for 2 months. Will the Ford still make that claim after their cars have been on the road for 3 or 4 years? I hope so! Then we will get better U.S. and foreign cars due to competition.
