What is the squealing sound my 2005 Ford Taurus is making?
When I drive my car, I can hear my tires or something near them squeaking. I think it’s something with the front ones, when I brake, I hear it slowing down or sometimes even stop. I thought it was something to do with my brakes, but my brakes don’t usually squeak when I use them unless it’s early morning or it’s rained, when it’s really moist. I don’t know a thing about cars, any answer would be appreciated. Thanks!! ![]()

more than likely, it’s something wrong with your brakes. take it to a shop and have them look at it, most will do it for free.
it could be 2 things. the brakes could be worn down to what they call the indicator and it is squeaking. it could also be your tires on certain surfaces while turning, i would guess the brakes though, take it in to the dealer, not a brake store and have them checked out.
brake warning sensors on the front pads/ real mechanics can translate that squeak and its saying (help my brakes are worn out)
You are probably due for a brake job. There are small "wear indicators" that are attached to the brake pad itself and is designed to give off a high pitched squeal when the brake pads wear down to the indicator level.
sounds like you either need new pads or it,s brake dust.
