What are the two bars in the trunk of my 2007 Ford Taurus SE?
There are three slots for the two bars. I pulled the bars out of the slots and now my trunk won’t stay in the "up" position.
There’s nothing in my manual about it!
Plz help!

some things are not designed to fool with/yep you guessed it those are torsion rods that keep the trunk open
they’re a type of spring, called a torsion bar. They are designed to hold the trunk lid open. Put them back where they were and you should be ok.
