Unstable idling RPM - Ford Taurus 2008?
I have a Ford Taurus 2008 Sel, 41K miles on it.
When it is in the parking or braking mode, the engine's RPM fluctuate between 0.5 - 0.7 (500 - 700 RPM). Cold start RPM is about 1500.
Is the fluctuation within the normal range? The fluctuation stops when I drive it.

Probably is normal. Clean your idle air control valve, and try again!
Yes and no, if the lights dim as well I would suspect a low battery or bad connection to the battery. Keep in mind your car should be under warrenty
