If the battery was low enough to keep even the radio from working you may need to keep the jumper cables on for as long as 20 minutes to get enough charge to start it. Especially if the jumper cables are light duty ones. The starter motor draws more current than any other item on your car.

Hook up the jumper cables, make sure you have a connection. DO not try to start or run any accessories for 15-20 minutes. Then try to start the car. If it cranks slow or doesn't crank at all, turn off the key and keep the jumper cables on for another 10 minutes or so and try again.

If that doesn't start it you may need another new battery. The one you bought should be on warranty.

Unless you left your lights or something else on all night there may be another drain that is killing the battery. If so, you need to find and fix it.
