Trouble with 1999 Ford Taurus SE delayed accessory feature?
Hi, I recently purchased a used Ford Taurus and have been having some trouble with the delayed accessory feature. The radio is supposed to play for up to 10 minutes after you take the key out of the ignition or until opening the door according to the manual. However, this feature does not work all of the time and when it does it usually only plays for a few seconds. I was wondering if anyone knew what could cause this problem and if theres anyway to configure the delayed accessory feature. I have been looking online and sofar have not been able to find anything on this issue. Thanks ahead of time!

No way to configure it, as it’s configured that way from the factory in the module itself.
If you have a problem with a door ajar light on the car (interior lights coming on or door light on dash) it will cut the feature off.. also a bad or misadjusted ignition switch can do this
But usually I’d say the Door switch on the latch internally to the door on the drivers door is causing your issue and will cause this.
