Tell him the trans is out, and you won’t pay for it. Or take him to small claims court in your area. In small claims you have to present your own case to the judge. Have all your reciepts written notices. If it is all verbal, there will be more trouble.

He might not have known. Since the car was disabled the transmission problem doesn’t really affect the value of the car. I would just fix it and stop complaining. That’s how it goes in the used car world. If you want cars with no problems you’ll have to get a better job and start buying brand new cars from now on. sorry.
