Adjustable Upper and Lower Control Arms, Caster Camber Plates, Adjustable Shocks and Struts, Sticky tires, Springs, Strut Tower Brace, Subframe Connectors, and Sway Bars will all make the car handle great. Adjustables are a must, you can make it a drag car or a street car.

Its because the car is old. Alot of stuff wears down, I owned a 89 Probe and it was the same way. The springs are a good place to start and not too costly though replacing them yourself is a pain. A good set of rims and tires can help as well (better traction) but nothing like the springs well. Replace all 4 not just the front.
