My taurus is legendary. Its been through a hell of a lot. Ive had alot of good times in it. But with 204K miles on it, i dont know when its day is coming to an end so when it does happen i want someting to remember it by, so i thought the steering wheel. How do i take it off? If you have any suggestions of what else i should take off it.

I have been trying find someone that can help me install an in-dash stereo in my car. However, my car seems to be impossible to upgrade according to Best Buy, Circuit City, and a Ford dealership. My Taurus is fairly unique because it has the rare option of digital climate control. While, most Taurus’s have rotary temperature controls on the dash. Unfortunately, I can’t find an installation kit made for my particular vehicle because it has digital climate control. I can only find installation kits for a Taurus with rotary temperature controls. Can anyone help me?

I’m planning on redoing the engine in my taurus, and I was thinking of replacing it with the SHO engine. Would it fit and work properly in my GL , same year. Thanks

I presently have an Isuzu trooper II that is a POS. So, I am looking into this 1987 Ford Aerostar XLT. It has 140000 miles, and needs a new battery (which I can get from my Isuzu) The lady wants 0 and is willing to let me have the car a week before we can pay her. Is this a good deal?

The reason I ask is because I have had bad luck with Ford before, it was a taurus. If there is a common problem with the aerostar, please let me know

This weekend my fiance & I went to our local Ford dealership so she could get a key made (she lost her back up key), for her 2005 Taurus. I know the key has a chip in it (and it seems the car needs to be programmed), but could a Ford tech explain the expense to me?

I have alot of time on my hands so i have just been fooling around with my for taurus sho and i have fixed alot on the body with little nicks and dings and a couple major spots but the problem is that i have never painted before i need to know where i can get paint for my car in my color it is like a tannish kinda color a lil darker and i need to know what to do and how to paint it…….. i would prefer to use like a spray paint can i just want it to look nice like no one would notice it Thanks much ahead of time

Not that anyone cares, but I have been hearing some people talk about seening spy pictures of the 2010 Taurus. They say it looks very sleek and has a nice design, and looks nothing like the 2008 Taurus that just came out resembling a newer looking 500. Does anyone know what sites to go on. Please let me know, and please don`t go into that Ford sucks, etc. just let me know if there are any sites that i can go on.

I neglected to put the year of the taurus ( 1995 ) in my first question. Sorry for the confusion. I don't beleive the engine overheats. Has anyone heard of the fuel pump problems on this year of taurus. Could it be causing something like a vapor lock, at the high temperatures that I have mentioned. Thanks, Harry

Having some trouble figuring this out…I just need to know how to remove the cv joint from a 1992 Taurus, and can't find anything on the internet about this particular car.

it is a 1988 taurus with a 3.0L engine automatic with overdrive and no antilock brakes. does the car pull off of the drivers or passenger side cv joint?

We bought a 2000 Taurus brand new and 4 years later the paint started peeling on the trunk lid. I thought it was from a knick in the paint and paid 0 to have the trunk re-painted. Two years down the road, it is peeling again along with a spot on the hood. The body shop said the paint is delaminating due to a factory defect. I'm wondering if there is anyone else out there with the same problem. Ford couldn't possibly have screwed up on just one car, could they?

we purchased a used 2006 Taurus. It has a combination lock on the drivers side door. We do not have the combination and do not know how to set it.
