I got a 1996 Ford Taurus recently, there is a white botton on the front panel near the radio and AC bottons that I don’t know what is its duty, I pressed it few times but nothing happened, can you tell me what is this botton for?
thanks

I have looked all over and i cant find them… i have one of the plugs for the power and all that but i need the other plugs that go to the back of the radio.

I was going to look for an RCA port to see if I could wire subs but unfortunately I have the 96′ taurus, with its egg-console shape which the radio is in. Im pretty sure removing it has something to do with the 4 holes on each corner of the console. THANKS!

I have a 1995 Ford Taurus, and I would like to replace the radio and cassette deck that are factory fitted so I can install a new system. Does anyone know if there is a special trick to removing the deck — a special tool you need, a way of prying off the faceplate, etc? I have the wiring harness and cage for the new deck and they are supposed to fit, so that isn’t the issue. It’s just — how do I get the old one out???

Thanks!

How do you remove the radio a/c control panel on a 2000 Ford Taurus?

i have a 2002 ford taurus and the radio and cd player doesnt work at all… can i change it out? the reason i ask is because all the air controls are on the same console

I have a 1991 Ford Taurus with less than 50,000 miles on it. I drove 10 minutes and parked. When I came out from my destination I tried to start the car and no turning over or anything but I did have power to the radio and headlights. There was a clicking when turning the key. Got jumped and it turned over on the first try and second try it started and drove it home. Later on, it stalled while driving to get a new battery with lots of shaking before stalling out. Jumping won’t work. The new battery didn’t help it start up. Still have the clicking. My radio still works and headlights and all that. I had an oil leak before this all happened and the oil light was on. I also have a breathalizer hooked up to my car as ordered by the state. Could it be a seized engine? Malfunctioning breathalizer? Any thoughts?

Hi, I recently purchased a used Ford Taurus and have been having some trouble with the delayed accessory feature. The radio is supposed to play for up to 10 minutes after you take the key out of the ignition or until opening the door according to the manual. However, this feature does not work all of the time and when it does it usually only plays for a few seconds. I was wondering if anyone knew what could cause this problem and if theres anyway to configure the delayed accessory feature. I have been looking online and sofar have not been able to find anything on this issue. Thanks ahead of time!

I have a 1995 ford taurus, I try to start it this morning and had no juice. I thought the battery was dead since the lights wasn’t working nor the radio ( I just got a new battery two weeks ago). I try to get a jump and the radio and light work but the car wouldn’t start. It wouldn’t turn over. What could be the issue with it?
