I drive a Taurus http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/46/2004-2007_Ford_Taurus_Sedan.jpg and recently the left side turn signal blinks very fast … blink, blink. blink, blink, blink.
The right side goes blink ….. blink ….. blink ….. blink ….. blink like it should.
The left side is at least 3 times faster than the right side. Any thoughts on this slightly bothersome issue?? Should I change the fuse/fuses?
It’s only done this for a few weeks … it just irks me. (smiling)
Thanks and thumbs up to all who answer! Just give me time to get back and read the answers.
Thanks for your answers!
Already replaced brake light switch, multifunction switch, hazzard turn signal switch. The bulbs look fine. Fuses look fine. Flashers don’t work either, turn signals when operated separely do. Rear lights only on when headlights are on, but do not brighten when pedal is depressed. PLEASE HELP!!!
Changed all the bulbs, to no avail. Where do we start next?
This appears to only happen in the wee hours of the morning when it’s fairly cold out. It may just be coincidence but that’s the only time I see it happen. This has happened twice so far in the last couple of weeks, both cold mornings. They resume working normally later on, say after I get off work. The only thing I’ve checked so far are fuses, which look all good, but I’m not sure that would have ever had a problem with only intermittent issues. Any suggestions?
I have already checked the fuses, all are good, bulbs are even good. I figure it might be the flasher, just not too sure where to look. I thought maybe in one of the fuse boxes (one is under steering column and the other is under the hood). Anybody know where it might be? I don’t have the owner’s manual.
If it matters, it has a 3.8 Litre automatic engine.
The emergency flashers on my 1996 Ford Taurus are NOT working (no clicking noise, no lights inside or out), but both left and right turn signals front and back are working fine. Husband checked the fuses which seemed fine. Could this just be a bad switch or something else? How do I fix this?
what is it? a fuse? because all my fuses are fine. They still light on when i brake.
We checked the fuses they seem to be fine. It rolled down just fine and then just would not roll up. There has not been any problems in the past so confused plz help.
I have a 1992 Ford Taurus and recently, when I turn on the headlights at night, the dashboard and rear running lights do not turn on. I looked at the fuses and they all seem intact. This has only happened in the cold weather as of yet, so they have worked before. I'm thinking I might have a short. Does anyone know if a quick or easy way to fix it, possibly on my own without the need of a technician?
Any suggestions?
