Im thinking of buying a Ford Taurus GL 1994
With 54,000 miles
Motor 3.8 V6

Has anyone ever had this car…can you please give me some advice?
What are the important things to check on this car before buying it?
Does this car have any known defaults?

For the automatic transmission (normal use): How many miles can it normally take before having to change or repair the transmission?

Thanks!
p.s. the asking price is ,500

I keep the car running by adding water and coolant, but oftentimes the plastic tank becomes full. The car (1989 Ford Taurus GL) is beginning to have a knocking sound on the passenger side. There is some kind of fluid (condensed water maybe?) coming not from the tailpipe, but somewhere before it gets to that point. Could the problem be the thermostat? I want to know how I can fix the problem myself. Help!

I have a 1997 ford taurus gl that has the manual headlight control (when you have to turn the lights on manually) and i noticed some models have autolamp. Is there a possibility you can swap out a manual headlight control to an autolamp one? If you can does it require extra wiring? Thanks for your answers.

I am driving Ford Taurus GL (1994) on D1. It has D2 too. I have never used it so far. When do I use it?

Also, I can't figur out why its Antilock light it on. The car is running good, I havent noticed any problem with it, but this light is worrying me.

Thank you.

I have a 1997 Ford Taurus GL and it pulls to the right when I accelerate. I recently had it aligned. This has been an ongoing issue and was wondering if anyone had any ideas. So far I have heard that it may be a wheel bearing getting ready to go, tie rod end, and struts.
