I just bought a 2005 ford Taurus se and I asssumed that once I turn off the car the lights will go off but instead I have to turn the knob to the left of the steering wheel to turn them off, otherwise they’ll stay on, is there an automatic headlight? How do I use it or turn it on?

I have a 2005 Ford Taurus SEL latley i have been having problems starting it. Here are the things i have observed. If you have any ideas it would be greatly apprciated. the starter seems to sound like it is working fine it makes the normal trying to turn over sound but not all the time sometimes it makes just a clicking noise. the onboard computer screen will flash fuel comp just before it displays the milage. it will start adventually and it seems to start better with a fuller tank of gas. Today the clock radio reset it self back to 12:00. once the car is started there are no other obvious problems the engine dose not seem to be miss firing or anthing else and none of the warnig light on the disply unit are lite up oil is always changed on time.
It was the battery, I went had it tested it was bad. Thank you all so much

I got since one week a 2005 Ford Taurus.When i start my engine the rpm idles very high.When i try to put the rear gear then it shifts very hard into it with a noise.After the engine gets hot everything works fine in the tranny its just when i coldstart the engine.

my air compressor needs to be replaced, some people are saying it is easy others are saying it is difficult (ie. 00 dollars to fix cause it is so hard). i can't find an engine diagram anywhere for my 2005 ford taurus. the guy at autozone says it is easy to replace. anyone know?

i have a 2005 ford taurus i'm selling, only 28000 miles. it's in "fair" condition, with a smashed headlight and a passenger mirror that's just hanging there, but supposedly the bluebook value is around ,000 still. i asked for that amount at a few used car dealers and none were willing, for that much. i need to get rid of the car cause i'm going overseas (permanently) soon, but i don't want to get ripped off and sell it for less than its true worth. any opinions?

How do you take the door panel off the rear door of a 2005 Ford Taurus SE? My daughter dropped something down inside the window and I want to get it out before it jams the window. Thanks in advance.
I can only find 4 screws and I have removed all of them but the panel still will not pop loose.
