You just stick them in the pair of holes on each side of the radio. and it will pull it out. Don't use hangers. It can mess it up for future use and the tool is only $2. You can fluke out with the hangers as some are thinner than others but!!. I got 2 decks out with the hangers and the next removal was done with the above mentioned "special tools", my new pickups deck was removed with the actual tools and it came out very nicely. Don't know where you live but I got mine at Canadian tire, you can also get them at wal mart.
