Power steering on 1993 ford taurus?
I drove a 1993 ford taurus today and whenever I turned the steering wheel right or left, there was an oscillating of the steering wheel. The car turned just fine but the steering wheel would move right to left to right to left….and so on in an oscillating manner.
If this is a simple PS pump problem then I may make a very low offer for the car. Other than the steering issue, the car is in excellent shape. The driving I did was about 18 miles to a wholesale auto auction and as an employee of the auction, I can bid on it.

It could be feedback from a bad check valve in the power assist portion of the rack…sometimes just the power box can be replaced, rather than the whole rack, but I don’t know if that one can.
i think that you may need to check every steering component on the car cause it coul be one of numerous things
Yeah, thats in the power steering box. But you should be able to get a PS box for $250 and it is easy to replace.
ok it is time to think about how would i be if i was loose
i would slip shutter and not be stable tighten the belt or replace the tensionor
