PO1414 2000 Ford Taurus check engine Question?
I have a 2000 Ford Taurus with a check engine light. I am going on a trip from Madison, Wisconsin to Bloomington , Minnesota. Took it to go see what was the light on for, and it came up with code 1414 (po 1414), which means it is something to do with the electric air pump. How much would it take to repair it, or will I be able to make it to and back from Minnesota?

This takes the place of the belt driven air pump. It blows fresh air in the exhaust to reduce hydrocarbons and increase catalyst efficiency. I’d drive it with out worrying. On the Taurus SHO it is located behind the front bumper
