I need a new converter and got 2 different answers from mechanics. One said 2 and another 3?

Replacement times for new Ford Taurus GL automobiles are normally distributed with a mean of 7.1 years and a standard deviation of 1.4 years. Find the probability that seven randomly selected Taurus GL automobiles will have a mean replacement time greater than 7.0 years.
Among U.S. households, 24% have telephone answering machines. If a telemarketing campaign involves 2,500 households, find the probability that more than 650 have answering machines.
I mean do you like the looks the quality. I’m thinking of buying a 2013 ford explorer as the family car. 2013 ford fusion for my daughter (16) a 2013ford Taurus for my wife and 2013 ford f150 Harley davidson edition. So I was wandering your opinion we drive fords now and are looking to upgrade as soon as the 2013′s come out. So I want to know your opinion and your stories with your fords. Also I will only look at fords or Chevrolet. No non American cars. Thanks
I am looking at buying a Ford Taurus Limited. I found one that has 10,000 miles and they are asking ,800. It has heated seats but no moon/sunroof. They have had it for over 60 days and have dropped from the original price of ,995. Do you think they could drop the price some more? Any other thoughts on the vehicle itself?
I have a 2007 Taurus I bought from a dealer in February 2009. It was a used rental. Only 34,000 miles on it and I paid ,000. I think the tank holds 18 gallons but not sure.

The car drives fine .. I’m not unhappy with the deal but I want to stretch the mileage as much as possible. I only use Chevron gasoline because I believe the quality is better than gas I can buy at most places … (I’ve always felt that way after buying gas from a Citgo/7-11 and finding small pebbles stuck in my carburetor on a old Pontiac Phoenix) Anyway … I just want to get some ideas.
Thanks to all who answer! Just give me time to get back and read the answers.
Joseph the Second : Oh well … Thanks anyway!
I’ve been in the automotive trade for years as a mechanical/electrical tech and auto body tech. I find it hilarious that people even take note of what model car wins the Motor Trend Car of the Year. Hilarius because of Motor Trend has a bad track record of picking cars that fail mechanically faster and more often than many other models offered that year. I think all cars of the year should be a car that has been in production for 3 years with minimal changes over the three years, and picked based on mechanical track records as being reliable and well… strong and sturdy. The list below from 1980 on up to this year is mostly filled with cars that are now considered junk cars solely by their track record of early failures mechanically. I mean look at the list, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Dodge Caravan, Taurus, Renault Alliance,Chrysler K Cars,Chevrolet Citation, Volkswagen GTI ALL cars with very bad reputations now. Car of the year award seems to be based on radical ideas, styling, toys and features, all nice and all but what about it actually doing what people should expect from the "Car of the Year" and that’s not breaking down and costing lots of money just to keep it running.

The Caprice was a short lived police car. Police forces experienced very weak suspensions with the Caprice. They has total and scary failures where the suspension dropped all the way and the wheels locked up in the wells. The Transmissions did not last nearly as long as the ol 727′s in the Dodge’s. If you think back the Caprices reign as the most used in the nations police force was short lived. The Crown Vic was the next to reign king and they still do today. Right now Dodge is trying to get a name for themselves in the Police car market but I am betting on that they will not live up to the expectations the police have for them. The next probable King of the police car is the Ford Taurus based ones that also come in a SUV form. Check out Jay Lenos Garage he just did a video on these new up coming models from Ford.
The tubes coming off of the exhaust to the EGR Valve going to EGR Sensor is getting super hot and melting the sensor. I’ve gone through three so far. Problem is the car will not pick up or go any faster than about 20mph. Also it has no error codes.
What could be the problem? Blockage?
This is a 2003 Ford Taurus.
so today i had to have yet again another brake switch installed in my 2001 ford taurus. this is the 3rd one. i was wondering if anyone knows how to get this to stop happening if possible. its getting very aggravating having to deal with it every month or every other month.
The engine is the V6 vulcan 3.0
Does anyone know what is the minimum speed you must be going to enable the use or cruise control on an 2008 Taurus? Iv only tried it doing about 30-40mph and it wont work… I realize that the cruise control feature is intended for highway use, but I find it weird you can’t use it whenever you want too. is their any cars that let you use cruise control freely? (at any speed)?
Hey, im 16 and just bought my first car, It’s a 1997 Ford Taurus and in great condition. Being a new driving and not having a large income, I was wondering how the gas is on it? How much does it cost to fill up and is it fuel efficient? Thank you
I know there is no way to know anything for certain, but I’m thinking a ford mechanic will likely know at least if there seems to be any pattern or typical mileage point, when they need exhaust system work.
Also I know it all depends on many factors, but I’m hoping outside of that something has been noticed.
My 2000 ford Taurus was wrecked looking to take my engine out of my car or my transmission and get another used car to replace mine can you tell me what vehicles my engine or transmission will work in ?
I have a 1989 Ford Taurus GL with power windows and door locks. My front passenger window motor works but not that well. When I push the button to make the window go down it starts out going (a bit slower than normal, but its 21 years old, its fast for its age) then when it gets about an inch down it creeps. Then when its about 3 inches from being all the way to the bottom it goes back to its normal speed. I have a window motor that almost have out of a 1994 taurus in my auto shop, but I want to know if its the motor that needs to be replaced, or is it just the tracks that need to be greased? Also both of the rear door lock actuators dont work and i dont know if they both went out at the same time or if somethings wrong. No fuses are blown. The little tab on the top of the passengers rear door was gone for a while a few years back and i dont know how long it was gone for, and think that water might have gotten in there but im not sure. There it a piece of tape over the hole now. Any suggestions on whats wrong?
If someone could help, that would be great!
The size is not on the door panel where it normally should be. Also, how are the back or rear plugs changed?
