Need help with my 2000 Ford Taurus and aftermarket stereo install?
I recently installed an aftermarket head unit along with an adapter kit for my 2000 ford taurus. The problem is is when I put the cables on for the amp and sub the cd player won’t slide in all the way. if I take them off then it fits fine. the plugs stick out the same amount as the antenna plug. is there anything i can do to fix this problem or am i just gonna have to forget having the amp installed?

I JUST installed a new dash kit and aftermarket head unit/amp/subs in my 2002 Taurus this morning. It took forever . . . I had the same problem. In my Taurus SES one of the main cable bundles is attached to a dash support beam JUST behind the head unit by a plastic screw-type deal. If you undo that (basically pop it out backwards) you can shove those cords way further back in there.
