1st off, without proper diagnostics you cannot get a proper repair… with that being said…
2nd need to know if he has four wheel disc brakes or disc/drum? Probably 4wheel disc…
3rd, if he is leaking brake fluid then he needs to get his car into a brake repair shop ASAP…he probably has a leaking caliper or hose. Better yet, take it back to the dealer that sold it to him and let them fix it.
4th, brakes are not the system to be messing around with, if you can’t stop then you are going to stop the hard way.
Good luck and hope this helps.
Could be a bad wheel cylinder leaking BRAKE fluid. Tell you friend to take it to get checked before they discover they don’t have brakes anymore.
Could be a bad hose. If it has disc brakes (which is the correct spelling btw) the caliper is leaking. Drum brakes it would be a wheel cylinder. Replace the leaking parts quickly or spend more money, especially if it has drum brakes, the fluid will ruin the linings on the shoes.
Most likely, a bad wheel cylinder. This can and will cause loss of braking ability in the rear wheels. Once air would get into the front brakes, he may lose all brakes.
Get it fixed today. Good luck.
Bad wheel cylinder, i’d keep it full of fluid and get it fixed before a wreck happens Good Luck
