My 2007 Ford Taurus Blinker/Turn Signal Acting Funny …..?
I drive a Taurus http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/46/2004-2007_Ford_Taurus_Sedan.jpg and recently the left side turn signal blinks very fast … blink, blink. blink, blink, blink.
The right side goes blink ….. blink ….. blink ….. blink ….. blink like it should.
The left side is at least 3 times faster than the right side. Any thoughts on this slightly bothersome issue?? Should I change the fuse/fuses?
It’s only done this for a few weeks … it just irks me. (smiling)
Thanks and thumbs up to all who answer! Just give me time to get back and read the answers.
Thanks for your answers!

Sounds like one of two things. First try replacing the turn signal bulb. Most likely its getting time to replace it. Also check the fuses but more then likely it is the bulb
Good luck!
one of your left bulbs is burned out either frt or back probally back
you got 2 different (manufacturers) bulbs in your signal lens, either front or back.
That little bit of difference in electrical resistance will make the light blink quicker.
If it really bothers you THAT much, you can change all the signal bulbs with bulbs of the same type (manufacturer, lot #)
That is the free red flag that a light is out. Take a look and find out which one it is, and apply a new bulb. Problem fixed!
My problem lies in how to take the light assembley out of the rear right housing. It used to be you twisted it a quarter degree on way and it would come out. Now they have like a big plastic half ball type of housing, and I’m afraid pulling out too hard will break something. I can do everything but get to the bulb. Please help!!
I guess you have to take out the three bolts that are located inside the trunk and behind the covering. Once you take those three bolts out the tail light comes out and the bulbs can be replaced that way. Another one for the books.
