A 1996 ford taurus for 1100. i want to go see how it is but i just wanted to know if it was a good price for the car

"Transmission may need service" could mean over $1500 for a transmission rebuild. For the car in good condition, it’s probably a fair price, but that questionable transmission would have me looking at something else.
it has a lot of mileage.
Bring it down to 900 or 1000, your not going to find anything cheaper.
