Mazda was originally a Japanese owned company but it is now owned by Ford along with Volvo and some others. If I were you, I would buy a Toyota or Honda, but not a Mitsubishi or Nissan. The Japanese industry has it's crap too, especially Mitsubishi. Consider this: Many Japanese auto's are made right here in the USA, by American workers, while a good chunk of GM cars are made in Mexico. So, basically, some Japanese cars are more American than the disgusting pieces of sh*t GM and Ford excrete. Forget it! So basically, your getting poor quality parts in a Japanese car. Don't be confused about helping the auto industry by buying a Ford, the changes have to be made within the executives and the product, not with the buyer. Unfortunately, when an American car company (Ford) has shares in a foreign car company (Mazda), the American car company will start to use their cheaper parts to build the foreign cars domestically.
