I’ve not had the opportunity to do a Taurus but most Fords are pretty easy. Disconnect your negative battery cable from your battery. Then look at the wiring that is connected to your starter, sometimes oil gets on the connectors and shorts it out, this may be the issue. Take an open end wrench and unfasten the cables connecting the starter. Then there are usually 2 screws that hold the starter in place. Once these are undone the starter slides out. Installing the new one is the reverse process of removal.
