I have a 2004 Ford Taurus that will start sometimes and other times it won’t?
I had a starter put on about two years ago. Now it seems as though if the shifter is somewhat out of place it will not start. It may also have to sit for a while before it does start. What could be causing this?

r u saying that the starter doesnt turn? or it does turn, but the engine wont run? if it cranks over, could be the check valve in fuel system is letting the fuel depressurize.. of if it wont even crank, maybe ur shift linkage needs adjusting, try in nueteral.
its your nuetral start
Hi,
In my case it just dirty battery terminals. After they were cleaned the car started reliably every time. Hope this helps.
