I drive a 1989 Ford Taurus. I want to haul my horses to a show. What should I do?
I love my Taurus. It’s the right size, and it’s a beauty. I don’t want to sell it, but I want to haul my gray roan Appy, Buster to the American Royal. I have a 1977 Chevy, but it’s a half-ton. I have a four-horse trailer with living quarters. Should I borrow my parents’ Super Duty?

Use one of the horses to help pull your car down the road!
put the horse in the back seat
Just borrow your parents vehicle, since yours probably aren’t very safe.
your 77 Chevy will tow that with no problem. I had a 76 that could handle a major load, so if it has a 350 cu inch motor you will pull that trailer all down the road with no problem. Once you hook the trailer up just make sure you don’t have too much sag on the truck. If it looks like its holding the weight than it is. The tongue weight on that trailer is probably not as much as you think.
It’s either beg, borrow, or rent….
I recommend the parents truck as the chevy would possibly do the load but for how long and how much strain to do it would be the question.
Most horse people I know run big v-8s, v-10s or diesels because of the horse’s weight
