How much does it cost to fix a 1998 ford taurus transmission due to slippage?
1998 ford taurus.
transmission is slipping slightly.
How much would it cost lo-hi range to fix a transmission problem.
Would flushing the fluid and replacing help, it has never been done.

It's a 98 and the trans fluid's never been flushed? No wonder you have problems. A flush might help you if you haven't caused too much damage. A new one should be 1500-2000 dollars.
Start shopping for a new car. The cost to replace the tranny clutches is way to expensive for a car that old, esp. since the Taurus is a very common used car. It would be cheaper to buy a newer one, then sell this one.
OK Im not sure why people always insist on answering questions with no real help to the one asking. "hey just sell y our car" thats just stupid maybe its just for the points but anyways what you should do first is make sure its actually full of fliud. when trans get low they start to slip. and if its full then yes you should try and get a tranny fluid and filter flush before you go in for any repairs.
