How do you change the motor mounts on a 1996 Ford Taurus GL with a V6 engine? Please help!?
My husband is looking for a manual and/or pictures on a website and directions so he can put motor mounts in a 96 taurus we just bought. We really need your help so any car mechanics or anyone that knows how to do this please let us know asap. Give us any information you have or know of please. Thanks so much!

first remove engine you will have to erect a gantry and use a block and tackle or chain falls to do this .all connections to engine. must be disconnected remove old mounts install new and reverse procedure,

This is details for engine removal. I would guess mounts can be changed without removal of engine. You might try the service manager at ford dealer if engine removal is required or not.
Sounds difficult for an amateur. I would look at getting a CHILTONS manual. Check it first to see if it has the directions for the exact job.
I believe you can change one at a time, with a jack to support the motor during the r&r procedure
