Step one.. bring it to the dealer, and let them get the code using their scan tool.... either that or have fun trying to remove all kind of parts to get at the module the code is on.... (it is a five digit code)

Ford only put the code on the trunk hinge on some cars and they stopped doing that 5 years ago.

The code is not on the engine computer (PCM) only code there is for the software version in the PCM (and the software is a 4 digit code that has 3 letters in it)

You cannot reset the code.. you can add to it, but never erase it.. Only way to erase is to install a new module.

Also this only works if it came as part of the vehicle (should be under the door handle)..

Ford has a aftermarket version that sticks on the car (Big black bulging piece usually put above the door handle), and if someone looses that code, you can throw it away...

By a combination lock I am assuming you mean the KEY-LESS ENTRY????? In the owners manual it should instruct you as how to change the code.........You will need the original code to do this.....The CODE used to be printed on a tag)STICKER) on the trunk hinges and another one stuck on the ECM(the engine computer......Don't know what state you are in but the dealer should give you the former owners name, address, etc. The easiest way is to contact the other owner.....If all else fails you will have go to a Ford dealer and have them pull or add a code for you. It should be minimum labor (1 HOUR) about $100. Try the previous owner..Check the title for the name also.....By the way the number your looking for in the trunk is a FIVE DIGIT number......
