my car drives good until i shut the engine off. when i restart it the gear selector moves through the gears but does not go into gear.(all gear selections act like neutral) it’s a 1994 ford taurus please help

My taurus is legendary. Its been through a hell of a lot. Ive had alot of good times in it. But with 204K miles on it, i dont know when its day is coming to an end so when it does happen i want someting to remember it by, so i thought the steering wheel. How do i take it off? If you have any suggestions of what else i should take off it.

My signals work very sporadically so I’m trying to find the unit to replace the part, can anyone help? Thanks!

i have a 1995 Ford Taurus SHO that i’m slowly but surely starting to deck out some and pimp it up some. looking for ideas. it’s a beautiful dark green color with gray leather interior. i recently put a light gold tiny barbed wire pin stripe on it. any one else have any other ideas?

I have a1995 ford taurus and my transmission went out. I have 3.0 liter v6. I was wondering what year of transmission would fit it. And if a mercury transmission would fit it?

I have already checked the fuses, all are good, bulbs are even good. I figure it might be the flasher, just not too sure where to look. I thought maybe in one of the fuse boxes (one is under steering column and the other is under the hood). Anybody know where it might be? I don’t have the owner’s manual.
If it matters, it has a 3.8 Litre automatic engine.

Even when I turn my car off the lights stay on and end up draining the battery. Would anyone happen to know where the headlight relay switch is in my 1994 SHO? If we can find it then there is a chance we can fix the light problem. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Lets just say i was gona buy a 1995 ford taurus for 0 that has an engine knock i know i should not buy it but lets just say i already did. Theres a slight knock that eases once the engine is warmed up and there is no white smoke. What can cause those knocks. actually its more like a tick.

I had to take it off to get the radiator fan out to work on some things, now the radiator fan turns on immediately when I turn the key to the "on" position, and the fuel pump doesn’t seem to be turning on. I can’t even start the car. I presume I activated the airbag sensor because I didn’t wait long enough after disconnecting the battery.

i have a 1994 ford taurus sho, and second gear is out of it, and i need to know how many teeth second gear has so i can find another… does anyone know where i can get a second gear for my sho at a reasonible price????? thx

In answer to the reply I got about having the ford taurus for 5 years, and feel lucky it ran that long . I have had the car since it was new 13 years ago. This is the only major problem out of warranty that I have encountered with it. I neglected to say that when it stalls out, there is a strong gas smell from under the hood.

I have a 1993 Ford Taurus 3.0. It will not start, it turns over fine. I checked my spark and was getting no spark to any of my plugs. I then removed my distributor cap, and the distributor does not turn with the engine is turning over. Timing chain??? Does this sound right, also do I need to pull the whole motor? Thanks for any help or advice.

My problem is with my car….The car wants to turn over but it won’t. The battery is strong, the alternator is good. It’s not the starter…cause it does not have a clicking sound. I already had a tuneup and an oil change.
Before it stopped it was sputtering while I was at a light then my check engine light came on and then it stalled. I tried to get a jump but that didn’t work.
So does anyone have an idea what it could be?
