Could this be why Fire signs on here are so jealous? lol…..
What do people find so sexy in Earth sign men?
I’m married to an incredibly sexxxxy Capricorn man…..he brought me roses tonight. XD

I’ll be sixteen soon and I’m really itching for my first car. Something I can claim as my own and don’t need to share often with the rest of my family. My parents are both smokers so I tend to gag every time I get into their cars (this is why I’m really wanting my own car). The smell is just too much for me sometimes.

I’m not too picky, I suppose, on the type of car. As long as it’s not a truck or some huge SUV thing. I would prefer if it’s a four door car since I don’t really enjoy the "hop on board" type of feel I get when I have to pull my short self up into a truck. And I dislike having to get out for the backseat passengers (call it laziness if you’d like, haha).

I don’t want to buy a brand new car either, because they’re not particularly affordable for me (seeing as I’ll be paying for it). Yes, that does imply that it’ll probably be used. Older models like from the 60′s would be fabulous. But, again, it doesn’t matter. I just need to be able to pay for it.

So, in short, the criteria:
- Cheap.
- Car.
- Used.
- 4-door (preferred!) or 2-door.

I hope you can help me.

If you need an example of a 4-door, it would be something like a 1994 Ford Taurus. Or perhaps a 1995 Saturn SL2.
2-door would be something like a 1987 Nissan Sentra.

I’m going down to the cheapest you can get me, as long as it works and I’m not going to be stranded on the highway on my way to work, I’m fine with the car. Rusty? No problem. I don’t even care if it has seven different coloured parts! If it gets me places, the car is good enough for me. (:

Thanks for reading this boatload of text and thanks for helping.
I hope you can find me something. My searches are failing me miserably. ):
Ah! A Mustang? That’s my dream car! Well, not a coupe, but whatever. A Mustang is a Mustang.

Could you email me pictures and I’ll get back to you?
For anyone emailing pictures, please email me at NoReallyImJordan@Yahoo.com.

Thank you. (:
Colbot? I’m pretty sure that’s not a type of car- at least none that I have ever heard of. Did you mean Cobalt?

And what year?

I just bought a 1990 SHO and I runs like a dream but it doesn’t like to go in to first for some reason It goes in but its hesitant. Is their any place were I can buy a new shifter.(ford doesn’t make them anymore) thanks. Btw it’s a 5-speed

I have a 1989 Ford Taurus GL with the 3.0L Vulcan. It has 93’600 miles. I was planning on cleaning the MAFS on my car but its in the worst place. Its actually IN the intake manifold. Yesterday when I cleaned my IACV, I had the air box off, and took the distributor cap so I could get to the MAFS screws, but when I unscrewed it and took what I thought was the whole thing off, I saw something still inside of the intake manifold. I didn’t want to break it so I left it in there.

Please let me know how to get it out or if it was supposed to be like that.

Here is a link on how my car starts after cleaning the IACV, throttle plate, and the electrical connection on the MAFS.

My Taurus weights 3350lbs and I was wondering what they dry weights of a 1991 Ford Ranger 2.3 Regular Cab Long Bed would be? If you don’t know exactly do you think it would weight more or less than the 3350lb Taurus? Thanks.
I just happened to find the weight of mine in my manual which is kind of interesting. What would be the weights of the Taurus then? Thanks again.

What’s the likelihood of this? I found this listing on Car.com
How can a 1988 Ford Taurus GL have 181 miles on it costs?

I am 27 and i am looking for another vehicle maybe in the spring of 2010 or in the summer time. I was just with my family this pass Thanksgiving in Atlanta , and i was talking to my mom about which cars i might want to get. all of a sudden she told me that she thought i would look nice in a Nissan Z350. I was shocked when she said that, My mom has always been a Ford fan, and for years she always told me that she was never a big fan of foreign cars. I grew up with Fords all of my life, that is all my parents ever brought, except, for when my mother brought her very first brand-new 1987 Cadillac Deville, which was a sharp car. but she only had it for 3weeks before someone ran into her and totaled it. her feeling was hurt after that car, and then she went back to Ford. All of the Fords that my parent have ever brought have been excellent vehicles, even though other people have had problems with theirs. My mom brought a 1989 Mercury Cougar which she had for 12 years with 319,000 on it and that car never wanted to die and my dad a 1995 Ford Taurus had it for 9 year with 215,000 and it served will over the years. Now i have driven rented the Z350 and enjoyed it. I live in Baltimore and went to see my aunt who lives in Philly, the drive was fast. smooth and fun. and i let my aunt drive it also and she enjoyed it. Now for some reason she felt as though her car was faster. which she has the Altima 3.5 with the V6 cyl. i am considering to buy the Z350 but i also Like the 2005 Audi TT coupe, which i have never driven before, but when i look at the shape a size of these two vheicles, they look a simlar to me. which car should i choose? and which one be a good trade in value after a couple of years . i don`t know how long i plan to keep the car, becuse my true dream two seater car is the Cadillac XLR hard convertible, which is out of my price range.

I have a 1989 Ford Taurus GL 3.0L Vulcan, so about 140 Horsepower brand new and 160 Torque. It has 92’500 miles on it, and climbing since its my car I drive to high school, and all around town. I recently did a tune up on it. I changed the spark plugs, to platinum ones, good for 75’000 miles. New Rotor, fuel filter, I cleaned the air filter, a KNN one by the way, and ran fuel injector cleaner in it in mid August or 2009. I put Lucas Fuel Injector cleaner in it always. I also, around mid October of 2009, disabled the fuel system, and had help from my auto shop teacher to hook up a can of injector cleaner to the car, so that’s all the car ran on. I recently, about 3 weeks ago, put another thing of lucas fuel injector cleaner in the car. What I do is I put the cleaner in, at the gas station, right before I fill the tank, completely. I did the mileage, and I had got around 14 MPG. 50 miles of that was on the freeway, 70 MPH. Not very much was from warming up, and the rest was in town mileage. My sister did some driving, and yes shes a bit hard on the pedal, but nothing way out of whack, uses the pedal a bit more than me and she only drove it for maybe 20 miles, out of the total 145.1 that I got on this tank. The rest I did. I wouldn’t say I drive like a granny, but I don’t drive like a bad out of hell either. I could learn to take off from stops a bit easier, but I just drive the car the way it should be I think. Is there anything else I can do to increase my mileage?

I just bought a 1987 Ford Taurus LX as a project car, to run to work and back and to work on as a hobbie. I love this car, everything works great.. except the radio. For some reason, when you turn the radio on there is no sound coming out of the speakers, but you can hear the ‘click’ from the speakers when you turn on the radio. It doesn’t get FM at all, but VERY RARELY you will here a faint voice or two from a random AM station, but it only lasts a second or two. The radio is the original AM/FM/Casset player the car came with in 87′, when you move the ‘bass’ ‘trebble’ ‘fade’ etc, you can here static coming out of the speakers.. but no sound.

Before I rip this baby out, I want opinions of what it could be. Anything helps, thanks!

I learned with
Ford Taurus (not sure the year)
1986 Dodge Dakota truck

the car makes a creaking sound when i turn the steering wheel , i see the leak is coming out from right by the wheel well is this for sure the steering rack or could it be a hose also if it is a steering rack how much would it cost to fix? thanks

My 1989 Ford Taurus is very strange at times. The tempurature gauge is moves around alot. It usually warms up, and the gauge is about half way, then drops to about 1/3. Then does that over and over. On the freeway it doesn’t do that. It stays between 1/3 and half, but a tad bit closer to half way. Sometimes when I drive and we were looking at christmas lights, it was completely warmed up and then when we slowed down to a crawl it heated up and the gauge went up to 3/4 of the way. But after a while, and when I start driving it goes down. My dads 1995 Ford Ranger with the 2.3L I4 doesnt do that, or my moms 2003 Honda Accord EX. Yes, they are newer than my car, but I wouldn’t think that would matter. I changed the radiator cap, changed the fluid, the radiator is only about 10ish years old, give or take a few. It has a new thermostat too. I dont know if the water pump has been changed, but I think it has, but it would have been over 10 years ago. The tempurature sending unit has been replaced, the one that makes the temp gauge work, and another sensor on the engine block. Please help. Its going to be until the 4th of January until I can talk to my Autoshop teacher, but I guess that doesnt matter. I can’t do anything to it without his help and the shops tools.
The fan DOES turn on. I feel hot air being blown at my face occasionally when I open the hood.

I’ve been in the automotive trade for years as a mechanical/electrical tech and auto body tech. I find it hilarious that people even take note of what model car wins the Motor Trend Car of the Year. Hilarius because of Motor Trend has a bad track record of picking cars that fail mechanically faster and more often than many other models offered that year. I think all cars of the year should be a car that has been in production for 3 years with minimal changes over the three years, and picked based on mechanical track records as being reliable and well… strong and sturdy. The list below from 1980 on up to this year is mostly filled with cars that are now considered junk cars solely by their track record of early failures mechanically. I mean look at the list, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Dodge Caravan, Taurus, Renault Alliance,Chrysler K Cars,Chevrolet Citation, Volkswagen GTI ALL cars with very bad reputations now. Car of the year award seems to be based on radical ideas, styling, toys and features, all nice and all but what about it actually doing what people should expect from the "Car of the Year" and that’s not breaking down and costing lots of money just to keep it running.

It’s also fun to drive, holds four full-sized adults in comfort, and judging by the very high owner satisfaction rating, my experience is not alone."

People like JerryJ never seize to amaze me in how they view their car.

TO MONKEYBOY

The Caprice was a short lived police car. Police forces experienced very weak suspensions with the Caprice. They has total and scary failures where the suspension dropped all the way and the wheels locked up in the wells. The Transmissions did not last nearly as long as the ol 727′s in the Dodge’s. If you think back the Caprices reign as the most used in the nations police force was short lived. The Crown Vic was the next to reign king and they still do today. Right now Dodge is trying to get a name for themselves in the Police car market but I am betting on that they will not live up to the expectations the police have for them. The next probable King of the police car is the Ford Taurus based ones that also come in a SUV form. Check out Jay Lenos Garage he just did a video on these new up coming models from Ford.

I have a 1989 Ford Taurus GL with power windows and door locks. My front passenger window motor works but not that well. When I push the button to make the window go down it starts out going (a bit slower than normal, but its 21 years old, its fast for its age) then when it gets about an inch down it creeps. Then when its about 3 inches from being all the way to the bottom it goes back to its normal speed. I have a window motor that almost have out of a 1994 taurus in my auto shop, but I want to know if its the motor that needs to be replaced, or is it just the tracks that need to be greased? Also both of the rear door lock actuators dont work and i dont know if they both went out at the same time or if somethings wrong. No fuses are blown. The little tab on the top of the passengers rear door was gone for a while a few years back and i dont know how long it was gone for, and think that water might have gotten in there but im not sure. There it a piece of tape over the hole now. Any suggestions on whats wrong?
