Check the brake light switch..located under the brake pedal rod…it's a little push button type of switch… see if it's pushed in and stuck in the in position.
their is a switch on the brake pedal bracket that has failed and needs to be replaced it is a easy job to do your self i havent done one in awhile the switch is like $ 30 buck and it takes like 15min to install with out this switch your brake lights will either stayon or will not come on it also cancellscruise contol when it is being used
The brake lights are staying on because of a bad brake light switch. This switch is mounted on the brake pedal cluster, look under the dash and just unplug it for the night, then replace the switch tomorrow, its easy to do and any parts store will carry it for less than fifteen bucks.
the brake switch is located on the brake pedal it self you have
to replace the switch
the fuse box is located under the dash by the steering column
as well as under the hood
the brake switch mounted on the brake padal is probably stuck they are pretty common and really not to hard to replace. your fuse box is under the dash an the driver side i think if not there then on the side of the dash on the drivers side behind a little door
