Approximate repair costs to replace a radiator in 2004 Ford Taurus?
My dumba$$ son decided to take my car for a joyride this morning. He managed to drive into a ditch, kill a mailbox, break the front cover, and bust the radiator (at least that much, probably more). What is an average price range for this type of repair. We live south of Little Rock, AR.
He hit the ditch/mailbox hard enough to push the radiator back, break some of the mounts, and prevent the cooling fan from turning.

Radiators are quite easy to install yourself. It’s like 3 hoses and a few screw brakets and some anti-freeze. If your looking for a cheap way out i would say call local junk yards and find a used one or look on-line for one. (sometimes you can get free shipping) You can find a ford taurus radiator for $80-120 on-line. A shop is going to charge like $250-350 depending on where you go. Seems like you can’t get anything done on a car now-a-days for less than $300. It’s a shame.
if your looking to not spend alot best bet it a junk yard. 150 or under you get one and not hard to put in. idk how much they are new
