Air conditioner making 1996 ford taurus run slightly hot?
I noticed that running my air conditioner is making my engine run hotter than normal lately. (last 3 weeks) When I turn the ac off, my cars temp goes back to normal. I live in the south where it gets about 100 degrees during the day so not running it is not an option. What could be the cause of it running hot with the ac on?

running your ac will make your car hotter here a few y. your ac condensor is in front of your radiator getting the cool air first. radiator could b slightly stopped up from bugs, or could b a little low on water top it off. with it being 100 my 04 grandam runs a little hotter 2 from the day i got it . sittn still at lights or traffic the air flow thru your cooling system is only getting what your fan is pulling thru. hope this helps
