as by kelly blue book its in good condition the inside is mint runs perfect and i went to get it inspected and the guy said it passed with flying colors he was surprised. how much should i sell it for?

I have a 2001 Ford Taurus. I believe it has a 155 hp, 3.0-liter V6 engine. Everything on the car is standard. I am looking to add a little (or a lot) more ponies to this car for relatively cheap. Also, anything that will make this car faster and better will help.

I have sold my 2000 Ford Taurus and bought a 2009 Toyota Corolla. I still have my old Taurus snow tires “Artic Alpin” in my garage with 16” size P215/60R16 95Q with “universal rims” on, which still have some good treads left. And, my Corolla also has 16” tire size P205/55R16 89H M+S at this moment, which presumably is a all season tire.

The fact that they both are 16” tire means it is OK & safe to install my Taurus snow tires onto my Corolla? Thanks.

Based on the aspect ratio, the sidewall height of both tires are:

16.25mm =0.6398 inches, which means that the Taurus snow tires are ONLY 0.6398 inches taller than my current corolla tires.

My husband is looking for a manual and/or pictures on a website and directions so he can put motor mounts in a 96 taurus we just bought. We really need your help so any car mechanics or anyone that knows how to do this please let us know asap. Give us any information you have or know of please. I have a 1988 ford taurus (yes, ancient.) It only has 66,000 miles on it and the mechanic told me it was in the best shape he’d ever seen a car it’s age in. It was one of my relatives and they left it to me when they went to get a new car. I LIKE this car, but I’m looking to make myself LOVE the car. I’m not a racer by any means, but I do enjoy opening up the throttle on the highway whenever possible. I’ve seen loads of turbochargers that fit on it but most are rather… Weak looking. I’m also looking for this to be more of a low key job. Not trying to attract attention to my car.

Current things COMPLETELY out of the question:
-New car
-New engine
-New transmission
-HUGE objects that make it retardedly obvious that I have a custom car
-Removing a muffler or making the car louder than most others stock cars
-Anything over 1000 dollars a piece
-Nitrous (No. Just no…)
-Anything else illegal
I only limited the price to 1000 because I wanted to see what I’d be able to do at this very moment. I can wait a little longer and get more money to pay for more expensive things for it, but this question was just to see what I could do at the moment.

I have a 95 Ford Taurus and I need to know where the feul pump is located because I believe that it was inadvertently switched off. I do not have the owners manual, I bought the car the other day and it did not have the manual. The car started stalling ever time that I came to a stop. Finally, it would not start again. I have no idea what is happening. The engine seems as if it is getting no gas. Please help me if you can. I need the car for work.
The fuel line was flushed this morning, right before the problem started. Is it possible that clogged the fuel filter?

I currently have the original stereo that came with my car with AM/FM cassette. But the cassette player doesn’t work, so I can’t even buy one of those cd players that hook into the cassette part. Does anyone know if you can buy aftermarket cd players in those ford dashes or a "cheaper" way to do it? Thanks!

My 2000 Ford Taurus occassionaly puffs out smoke from the Engine. This has occured twice in short quick burst and I have been unable to locate the source of the smoke. What can be wrong with my Engine?

Just want everyone’s input on this. Last week my 1999 Ford Taurus (automatic) stalled at 3 in the morning with some friends driving it. They hadn’t been on the road long and they said the RPMs just went sky high and the car just died. I’ve not had much trouble with it leading up to this. It was whining in extreme cold, but that’s about it. It’s in a shop now (an hour from where I live) and they say they need to take the transmission out, look at it, and see what part needs replacing. This all sounds so involved that I just wanted to get some input from Y Answers since there always is such a wealth of experience here….. Also, is there a way my friends’ bad driving could have killed the transmission? I find that hard to believe, but, you know, I thought I’d ask.

My head cylinder and valves on my car have gone bad so i am looking for a new engine. I found one but its a 2002 Ford Taurus engine. What can i do? Will it fit??

I just bought a 2005 ford Taurus se and I asssumed that once I turn off the car the lights will go off but instead I have to turn the knob to the left of the steering wheel to turn them off, otherwise they’ll stay on, is there an automatic headlight? How do I use it or turn it on?

Not even sure if this is what the problem was. I washed the car and for the last 3 days the belt has been sqeaking. it got louder and louder, then started to sound more metallic. I thought to tighten the belt, and noticed the tension adjustment hole(whatever) was stripped out a bit. I don’t know what my next step is, and I cannot find any do it yourself information out there. PLEASE help.
