I hit some black ice the other day and smacked a curb pretty good. I replaced pretty much everything under the right wheel well. When I went to get my front end aligned the tech showed me how the lower right side of the engine cradle is bent. How much work is involved in replacing this myself? I’m guessing I would need to have an engine hoist but I’m not sure. Anyone out there able to help me out on this?

I have a1995 ford taurus and my transmission went out. I have 3.0 liter v6. I was wondering what year of transmission would fit it. And if a mercury transmission would fit it?

I have a 1997 ford taurus that my wife took to a mechanic last year. Her complaint was that the car was shaking badly and pulling to the right when driving. They told her that it had a bad tie rod end, bad tire, and it needed a balancing and alignment. Ok so she has it all repaired. New front right tierod end, new front right tire, and an alignment. Maybe 2 months later she took it for a state inspection (different repair shop) and they told her that the right tie rod end was bad and needed to be replaced! Oh, I almost forgot, the car started pulling and shaking again too. So she has the mechanics talk to each other and the first one agrees to re-repair the car. So they do it. Guess what happened about a month later! Started shaking and vibrating again. Does anybody have any suggestions? I was actually to the point where I thought a brake was hanging up, but just finished a break job and that did not touch it.

it could be a metalic sound i am not sure. does anyone know what this could be?

i’ve changed the 02sensor (mechanic expense) what else can iI do to fix this problem?

I have a 1999 tarus we’re having problems removing the starter to replace it. We can’t find where the bolts are, are the accessable from under the hood or just under the car and whats involved in removing it

I sometimes drive a 1987 Ford Taurus station wagon, the automatic transmission slams gears when it shifts. Could a transmission "flush" fix this, or is rebuilding it ($$$) the only way to really solve it? (not worth it because of age of car)

2000 Ford Taurus with a tape deck. OEM cd players are exactly same size, just looking for model years that are compatible…

I have already checked the fuses, all are good, bulbs are even good. I figure it might be the flasher, just not too sure where to look. I thought maybe in one of the fuse boxes (one is under steering column and the other is under the hood). Anybody know where it might be? I don’t have the owner’s manual.
If it matters, it has a 3.8 Litre automatic engine.

I have 43.96. It is 00 and I have to get a parking permit for the college. I know I need insurance and registration. Do i have enough money to buy it and is there anything else I need to do. the permit is 55$ a term and I am planning on getting a job this summer but am currently at the school rt. now.

2007 Ford Taurus. Fuse for windows, outside mirrors keeps blowing or not working. Dealership couldn’t find problem. Said it could be a wire anywhere in the car which would cost a fortune to look for. Anyone have this problem and know what wire it was? Dealership said it could be because of the cold winter weather. Could that be the case?

I had a starter put on about two years ago. Now it seems as though if the shifter is somewhat out of place it will not start. It may also have to sit for a while before it does start. What could be causing this?

I have a 1991 Ford Taurus with less than 50,000 miles on it. I drove 10 minutes and parked. When I came out from my destination I tried to start the car and no turning over or anything but I did have power to the radio and headlights. There was a clicking when turning the key. Got jumped and it turned over on the first try and second try it started and drove it home. Later on, it stalled while driving to get a new battery with lots of shaking before stalling out. Jumping won’t work. The new battery didn’t help it start up. Still have the clicking. My radio still works and headlights and all that. I had an oil leak before this all happened and the oil light was on. I also have a breathalizer hooked up to my car as ordered by the state. Could it be a seized engine? Malfunctioning breathalizer? Any thoughts?

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus SE. There are two cigarette lighter adapters in my dash board and I have fried the lower one. I bought my car used and do not have an owner’s manual. If someone could help me locate which fuse I need to replace that woulud be great

I,m replaced the distributer and need to find the right setting

Isn’t it weird? 2002 Ford Taurus gets 18mpg city and 25mpg highway. The 2009 Dodge Challenger V6 gets 18mpg city and 25mpg highway. Both are V6 24 valve. But the newer Dodge Engine has variable valve timing to save gas. Why would they get the same gas mileage when they are totally different cars. Remember that the Dodge uses a live rear axle while wastes energy that could have been used to drive the wheels. FWD is more gas efficient. So what gives?

Even when I turn my car off the lights stay on and end up draining the battery. Would anyone happen to know where the headlight relay switch is in my 1994 SHO? If we can find it then there is a chance we can fix the light problem. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I was looking at a 2001 Ford Taurus SEL the other day for five thousand. A salesman told me the car wasnt worth the money. It’s an 01 with 82,745 miles. It has digital display, leather, all the options. I was wondering if this is a good buy? Or to go with the salesman and not buy it.

I am looking for a dual catalyac converter for my newly bought ford taurus.

My Ford Taurus OEM radio panel has the rear window defrost button on the left right above the temperature controls. I want to install an aftermarket radio, so I need a dash kit, but all the dash kits, even the ones specified for my vehicle, seem to have that defrost button on the right. Does anyone know anything about this?
