i was wondering if this car is reliable considering it is a ford, and if anyone owns this car, what do u think of it?

Where is the fuse box on a 2004 Ford Taurus?

it is a 1988 taurus with a 3.0L engine automatic with overdrive and no antilock brakes. does the car pull off of the drivers or passenger side cv joint?

How much does it cost roughly to fix a ignition switch in a 1993 ford Taurus? It just went out on me today and im hoping its under 0.00 any help is great appreciated thank you!!

Or is there somewhere on the net that I can actually see a diagram on how to install it? I am getting the run-around from these shops! Please help!

can it still be feesible to check the alternator output by pulling the pos cable from the battery and should the car keep running? new battery and alternator but car dies when i pull cable. other charging problems i am not aware of?

I have a 1997 ford taurus gl that has the manual headlight control (when you have to turn the lights on manually) and i noticed some models have autolamp. Is there a possibility you can swap out a manual headlight control to an autolamp one? If you can does it require extra wiring? Thanks for your answers.

My Ford Taurus 2003 is approaching 60,000 miles on it. So I consulted the maintenance guide, and it does not even mention about the drive belt for 60,000 miles service. It says that I only need to inspect the "accessory drive belts" at 100,000 miles and replace at 150,000 miles. Is that true? A guy at a Ford Dealership told me that it is a must to replace at 60,000 miles or else bad things happen…
Does anyone know what I am supposed to do?

We bought a 2000 Taurus brand new and 4 years later the paint started peeling on the trunk lid. I thought it was from a knick in the paint and paid 0 to have the trunk re-painted. Two years down the road, it is peeling again along with a spot on the hood. The body shop said the paint is delaminating due to a factory defect. I'm wondering if there is anyone else out there with the same problem. Ford couldn't possibly have screwed up on just one car, could they?

we purchased a used 2006 Taurus. It has a combination lock on the drivers side door. We do not have the combination and do not know how to set it.

1998 ford taurus.
transmission is slipping slightly.
How much would it cost lo-hi range to fix a transmission problem.
Would flushing the fluid and replacing help, it has never been done.
thanks

can anyone tell me where the speed senser is, and how many wires go to it on my 1996 ford taurus?

I have a braking system question for you. The vehicle I drive is a 1994 Ford Taurus 4 door sedan w/ automatic transmission with a 3.0 L engine and standard hydraulic brakes (not ABS).
I was recently on a drive and was comming to a stop light. When I applied the brakes there was some firmness, then the entire pedal sank to the floor. I pumped the brakes but no response. I ended up ditching the car into someones yard and took out some shrubs, to avoid entering a busy intersection. After the car was towed and inspected, it appears that my rear brake lines had become rusty and had a hydraulic rupture.
I have always be under the impression that the front and rear braking systems were independent, so that if one failed you still have some braking function from the other.
Are the Ford Taurus front and back hydraulics independent? If so, why did I totally lose all braking functionality when my rear brake line ruptured?

Also, could my mechanic have damaged it (accidentally or on purpose) when replacing my blower motor? And, how long would it take me to replace my heater core?

Also how to remove and replace the rack & pinion? I have been looking everywhere on the net and can't find any website that offers this help.

The Ford 500 was built on a copy of the Volvo frame which allowed for seating that was higher from the ground. As both my wife and I are handicapped, this feature allows us to enter and exit the vehicle easier and less painfully – that's why we bought the 500 – we love it.

I have a 1996 Chevrolet S10 mid – size pick – up with a 200lb. tongue capacity and a 2000 pound trailer or towing capacity. Because I believe that I am going need to move a 2006 Ford Taurus by towing it I need to know how much it weighs?

I have a 2004 Ford Taurus, only 45k miles, real nice condition. I want to get rid of it but dont seem to know how. I am looking for a place where i can list or sell the car for the closest to my asking price.
Things I've Tried:
-Local Community Paper
-Ebay

Can't seem to get autotrader.com to post my pics.
Any info at all is greatly appreciated!

I'm having trouble finding out what actuator is needed for the rear wagon door on a 2003 Ford Taurus. Is it the same as any of the other doors?

How hard are these to replace?
