2005 Ford Taurus shift hard into rear when its cold started?
I got since one week a 2005 Ford Taurus.When i start my engine the rpm idles very high.When i try to put the rear gear then it shifts very hard into it with a noise.After the engine gets hot everything works fine in the tranny its just when i coldstart the engine.

Take it to your Ford dealer for a tuneup to fix your cold start idle problem. It shouldn't be idling that high when cold, don't have that problem with my 2005 Taurus even in winter.
As a quick check, you may want to check your idle control valve. The IAC valve increases engine speed when engine temperature is low by venting air into the air duct behind the throttle plate. If you unplug it, your RPM should drop. Chances are this will need replaced.
Take it back to the dealership, its only been a week and there is always 30 days which you can get major problems looked at and fixed and the dealer pays the bill. Also your vehicle problem doesn't make too much sense, its very hard to understand.
Tap the gas before you shift to drop the engine speed.
I had a problem with my 94 and it clunked. Turned out to be the motor mount, as it is filled with fluid to absorb vibration, and it torn and leaked out. Another wonderful FORD idea.
