2002 ford taurus got into and accident with want to take out trans and motor?
just put a newe trans in it and motor only has 38,000 on it. the frame is done and body but motor still starts right up like nothing happend my ? is if i can find another taurus with a bad mototr and trans if mine still works fine does it have to go into the same year taurus or no?

This will fit in all the Gen 4 Taurus, 2000 to 2007.
Since you will be removing all the old stuff, anything different you can just swap. I don’t think you’ll need to.
While you are at it, grab the old computer out of your car as well.
Part the rest of the car out on ebay. I saw a posting earlier where a guy was looking for a rear seat only.
They used the same trans and motor in a lot of years of Taurus. Check at the parts store and see how many years they used the same motor mounts and that will tell you what years you need to find.
Call or visit an auto wrecker and ask them what range of years those parts will fit. At the same time, you can arrange to have your wrecked car recycled.
