1995 ford taurus engine knocking?
Lets just say i was gona buy a 1995 ford taurus for 0 that has an engine knock i know i should not buy it but lets just say i already did. Theres a slight knock that eases once the engine is warmed up and there is no white smoke. What can cause those knocks. actually its more like a tick.

A lifter that isn’t pumping up or normal engine wear if it has lots of miles.
Oh, and good luck with the transmission.
It is probably the valves. It may need new lifters, or just the valve lash adjusted. Sometimes the noise can be gotten rid of by simply changing the oil. I wouldn’t buy it, it may die before you get it home.
