1995 Ford Taurus brake lights don’t work when brake pedal depressed. What do I do next?
Already replaced brake light switch, multifunction switch, hazzard turn signal switch. The bulbs look fine. Fuses look fine. Flashers don’t work either, turn signals when operated separely do. Rear lights only on when headlights are on, but do not brighten when pedal is depressed. PLEASE HELP!!!
Changed all the bulbs, to no avail. Where do we start next?

I would start with getting a wiring diagram. On my ‘05, the flasher module controls both turn signals and Flashers. The only thing common is the bulb and wires. I had both bulbs burn out before on another car and I went through the same troubleshooting process. Replace the bulbs that have the two filiments in them (two silver buttons on bottom of the base).
change the bulbs anyway…they may look ok…but are falling…espeically since you mentioned they don’t become brighter when applying the brake. They maybe the dual function type. Meaning 1 bulb for both break lights and tail lights.
sounds like a short in the wiring. you replaced the switch under the brake pedal right? thats pretty common with older fords, if your emergency flashers work you have power to the brake lites
How do you replace the brake light switch? Please e-mail me at elijahbrownlee@gmail.com thanks!
