1994 Ford Explorer and 1996 Ford Taurus recall?
I own a 1994 Ford Explorer and a 1996 Ford Taurus. I know that both have been by recalled by Ford. Ford has recalled them because of the faulty Instruments cruise control. So what do I do to respond to the recall?
Also I didn’t receive a letter from Ford about the recall. If they did send them out I didn’t get one from I moved last month.

They will find you no matter where you live, they are like the FBI lol. But all you have to do to know for sure is get the17 digit VIN numbers and call the service dept and give it to them, they can run the VIN and tell you over the phone if you have it and set up an appointment, or just stop by, doesn’t take long to install the recall
just locate and calla dealer they will tell you when you can come in and have it done. it is a simple 20 min job(with part in stock).
INformation and instructions are included in the recall notice.
Once you get your notice,( Ford will send out notification letters to owners of affected vehicles ) call the dealer and make an appointment for the repair to be done.
11/02 I could not find any recall for the cruise control for a 1996 Taurus.
Call your dealer with your VIN’s and ask for sure.
Make sure you change your address on your drivers license and registration so the BMV/DMv can notify you of safety recalls.
go to a ford dealership
The recalls are sent to what ever address the vehicle is registered to (Ford is allowed to gain that information from states in dealing with recalls only)
But look up your vehicles by Vin Number here :

If they are involved, Go to the local Ford dealer where they will normally install a fused jumper on a switch for the cruise control as the vehicles have been known to catch fire on some models. I do recommend you have this done for free.
