First: check your transmission fluid level with the engine running and transmission in park.
if level is low turn engine off. now have someone add transmission fluid while you check for leaks. during this check watch the following locations:
1: where filler tube goes into transmission. there is an o-ring that seals the tube and can be leaking if it is bad. usually a small leak thou.
2: transmission pan. any leaks here may require an new transmission pan and or gasket. try tightening first.
3: front axle to transmission seals. if these are leaking it may need new axle seals and or axles and or axle shaft bushings.
these are the 3 areas where leaks occur with out engine running.
if no leaks at this point start the engine and leave the transmission in park. check for leaks in the following order:
1: transmission cooler lines from transmission to the radiator.
2: transmission front seal. check for leaking where transmission bolts to engine. if this is your leak it may need new seal and or torque converter and or torque converter bushing in transmission.
3: recheck transmission pan
4: recheck axle seals
5: check seal where shifter shaft come out of transmission. this tends to be a small leak thou.
6: check transmission breather. if fluid is coming out of breather you’ll need to have transmission rebuilt.

it could be the front transmission seal or a broken transmission lines check them both,its a easy and cheap fix
as for the seals you will need transmission shop or a friend to help you

i own a shop,and its probably got a front pump seal gone bad on it,and that will cause it to do this,either that or a line,but look where the engine and transmission goes together if its leaking there,then its the front seal and you have to either pull the engine or the transmission to get to it,on that car one way is about as bad as the other one is,but you can choose which one to pull out,good luck with it hope this helps.

Sounds like the seal is broken, or some stripped out broken bolts not holding it like it should.
Bummer… yank out that tranny bud……
