1987 Taurus stalled out, then will not start?
this is my kids car. he put gas in it, drove a mile or so and it stalled out. He then was unable to restart it. It cranks fine but will not start. He changed the coil, fuel filter and plug wires(he did not have tools to change plugs….I get to do that in the morning). Is there a fusible like or something like a Chrysler ballast resister on a Ford? Thanks for ANY help provided

Check the fuel pump reset button in the trunk. This is supposed to cut the fuel pump off in the event of a collision, but they have been known to trip when the car hits a bump in the road.
The button should be towards the front of the trunk. You may need to move some of the carpet in the trunk to find it. Push it to reset the pump cutoff, and the car may start.
TFI module on side of distributor. Generally, these will fail when car is hot. Car may start again after it cools down. Be sure thougn, they are expensive to replace and non returnable.
